In compliance with AS 2550.1-2011, our clients are required to perform periodic inspections on all cranes, hoists and winches. These inspections are required to be undertaken by a third party at least once a year. ACT conducted these inspections as a third party (not the manufacturer or operator) providing a verification on the state of loading and utilisation as compared to the cranes classifications. 

 

Our reporting includes an estimation of the remaining design working period (DWP) according to processes and calculations that are summarised in AS 2550.1-2011. The purpose of the assessment of DWP is to estimate the accumulated duty of the crane and assess its remaining life. We then utilise the DWP to determine when the next major service is required.
